Blooming phones

My house phone has been playing up for a while with a very crackly line.

I bought a new phone and all seemed well until I found out no one could call me even though it was ringing there end. Turns out I can no longer get incoming or out going calls.

Virgin media contacted and engineer coming out tomorrow to see about fixing it.
