Heartbreak

While driving near Cimarron, New Mexico, this beautiful American Kestrel flew into our car. I saw it coming from the left and it tried to avert but hit the car. We turned around and went back, picked it up from the road and buried it. It was very upsetting. One of the most beautiful birds I've ever seen. B held it and stroked it and told it how sorry we were.
