Snow!

So yesterday, after my early walk on the beach, I got everything ready for teaching. Then it snowed - proper big snow flakes. The kids were delighted and rushed out to try and build a snowman. I kid you not.

MrRoly left when I got back from work. A meeting for today meant he wanted to get in early. Unfortunately he hit snow at Truro and trundled at 30mph all the way to St Austell. Then the A30 was shut for resurfacing in Devon so he had a detour along windy lanes. He made it to his Mum's around half past midnight!

At 7.56 this morning he texted - burst tyre while doing 70 in the outside lane on the 6 lane stretch of the M5 by Bristol! Long story short, he's fine, car isn't quite so - a front suspension spring failed and shredded the 2 month old tyre - but clearly the cars behind saw a problem and gave him space to move over to the hard shoulder.

MrRoly is singing the praises of the Espace - no real loss of control/steering so no swerving or wobble which could have ended the story very differently.

My day has been very mundane in comparison.

And after all that, MrRoly was 1.5hours late for the 11am meeting!
