Greening Up the City

I had to do a few things this morning so stopped of in the city to take some shots. It was very hot and windy so didn't walk very far. The weather people said there were to have been a few showers but I haven't seen any.

This shot is taken on the corner of Hight and Cashel Street. On the left corner it was the Holiday Inn and across the street was the Westpac Building. This area had a lot of Victorian and Edwardian buildings and a series of lively interconnected laneways that have been changed forever, with a majority of its mostly masonry heritage buildings now demolished.
