Oxford bound

Over to Oxford today, instead of Ely... I was attending a conference organised by the Geography department at the University, at a hotel on the edge of the city. On the way through Milton Keynes, passed a number of huge distribution warehouses for John Lewis and River Island, and Barrs soft drinks. Stopped off at Bicester shopping village for a lunch at Jamie Oliver's, then on to the conference - seminars (including a presentation from me), conference dinner and entertaining after dinner speech. Lots of chats to colleagues. Slight moment of panic when person I was co-presenting with still hadn't arrived with 5 minutes to go before we were up...)
