Horse Chestnut Blossom/Candle

I just love conkers , the feel and smell of a new conker is very sensual...

And the blossom, in the form of these candles of florets are wonderful.

Like all sculptures - they should be smooth to the touch and be touched, and be inviting to touch.

I was up this tree with my camera... What with wind and the height above ground I thnk it was an achievement to get a shot like this, and despite the dark background it was taken in broad daylight.
