A bit of colour
A dull overcast day.
I have had a visit from my daughter (from Edinburgh) for a couple of days which has been good. She had come straight from her work as a Care Assistant in Rachel House in Kinross, which was Scotland’s first children’s hospice, opening in 1996. The hospice is a purpose-built ‘home from home’ providing accommodation for eight families from across Scotland at any one time.
A children's hospice offers a place where families can relax, recharge their batteries and have fun with their children. Expert care is on hand to help them make the most of each day and live life to the full. It is demanding work but my daughter has worked with children and young people with multi handicaps all her life, even when she was young and we did some work with children in the Royal Blind School.
After she had gone, I realised I still had no energy so I am afraid I compromised and blipped these flowers, which give bright colours all year round - mainly because they are artificial!
In other news, I get my stitches out tomorrow so that should help the pain. Now I just need the chest infection to clear and get some energy back.
