Starlings

I had to wait in for delivery of a new lens today, and being confined to the house I set up the tripod in the conservatory hoping to get some photos of animal or bird activity in the garden. Pretty much everything was unobliging - these starlings only let me get this one shot before flying away, and Big Bad Squirrel jumped like one of the Double Take Brothers and disappeared at speed every time he caught sight of me. I'm blipping the starlings because although they used to be one of the most common birds in this garden, over the past couple of years their numbers have declined sharply, and now they're quite a rare sighting..
