Lily

Today I finally managed to photograph the flowers I bought for Monday's blip!  The lily heads are mostly white with touches of green and pink.  This is a close up done with the Lensbaby plus the macro filters - so very close!  I love the contrast of sharpness of the stamens with the diffused background.

Final arrangements are now in place for my trip to Australia. I was wondering whether I would have to change my dates as my 'stand by' flight from Singapore to Sydney is virtually sold out meaning my chances of getting a seat were virtually zero.  The leg from Heathrow to Singapore is looking very good and that's the worst and longest part so I needed to sort the next bit.  I decided the best thing to do is buy a seat from Singapore so, after much looking around and checking times and routes, I have booked to Sydney via Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam - another airport in another country.  At least I will be able to say I have actually been in Vietnam even if it's only the terminal. This was the most interesting and cheapest option and I will end up at Sydney only a little later than had the BA flight had room for me.  

Fingers crossed I can get seats on the way back otherwise I may have to linger a bit longer in Sydney and that would be such a hardship!!!! (Must check what's on at the Opera House)

I enjoy airports and flights so it will work out OK and I have lots to read, as well as working through some Photoshop tutorials.  

Looking forward to meeting some fellow Blippers in Sydney in just over a week's time!
