at home with an Ivysaurus

Snow!

Ivy  got to play in snow again- this time not in a blizzard and it turned out she does like it afterall.

Lesley and Rowan gave us a lift to Inveress today for an ultrasound appointment. Ivy got a bit fractious in the car on the way there- since she really should have gone to sleep but was having too much fun playing with Rowan. When we stopped in Inverness we went to some botanical gardens I didn't know were there for lunch- Ivy liked looking at the fish and kept saying 'vrooom vroom' for them. I only worked out why after we were home - it's becuase she was told they were CARp.  I was torn between two extremes of temprature for todays blip.

My scan went fine- altough I got rapped on the knuckles for not taking it as easy as I should- my blood pressure has gone from very low to high. Ivy had an afternoon nap whilst I was away.

On the drive home, she was unhappy I think becuase she hadn't been given a cuddle by me when I got into the car- so we stopped for coffee and the nice lady at the stop made Ivy some toast and jam and she got to play in the snow. All day she's been saying 'blam blah' and I suddenly realised it meant blanket- so I think she'd been cold. She got to use our new baby wrap as a blanket in the car after being told not to get jam on it- but then I put it down in a plate of jam whilst putting it over her - so she didn't have to be careful anymore since I'd made it already need a wash...
