Bridges

The Old North Bridge at Concord, Massachusetts, where American colonists first fired on British soldiers, taking a decisive step towards independence:

"By the rude bridge that arched the flood,
Their flag to April's breeze unfurled,
Here once the embattled farmers stood,
And fired the shot heard round the world."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

I saw my friend Tara as I usually do when I come to Boston. It turned out to be quite an emotional evening as I finally shed tears for my sister and other people I miss. In a restaurant. Typical.
Thanks Tara - I needed that.
