Head cases

The walk through our local woods is criss-crossed at various points with a mountain biking trail. Fortunately, there's generally a bit of warning before a mostly-silent bike comes shooting past your shoulder at break-neck speed.

We've only lived here a few months and haven't really seen too much of a problem, but I suspect the bike trails will be much busier in the summer. The person who wrote on this sign clearly has experience of dodging the traffic. And having seen the slopes and narrow paths that the cyclists have to follow, I reckon they're right about the 'head case' bit - you'd have to be fairly mental to ride on them.
