Cup Fungus

We are so busy at college at the moment.  We are starting on another large project in West Lothian with The Edinburgh Society of Model Engineers.  They have bought some woodland are going to run train tracks with model trains on for visitors to enjoy.  It is a very long term project but we hope to be able to come up with designs for a picnic area and boating pond.
As we walked around I came across this fungus which I had not seen before, and particularly grows in the winter.
