Bosham Creek

No prizes for guessing my favourite place on Chichester Harbour – Bosham village, photographed from across the creek, with its lovely ancient church.

The population is less than 3,000 but on a day like today, it increases rapidly with sailors, walkers and wanderers, like us.  There has been a settlement here since Roman Times, and most famously King Canute had a palace here. His daughter is thought to have drowned in the village mill stream and her grave is inside the church. Allegedly.
