Tales of the Sea

I am fit to be tied.  We postponed last weekend's trip to France by choice. Okay, we lost two hotel bookings by so doing, but it was our choice.  We were due to travel out Rosslare to Cherbourg this Saturday instead, but Stena Line texted me this evening to say that the sailing has been delayed by 24 hours and will sail on Sunday instead. No apology, not even a shadow of regret in their text.  So I lose this Sunday night's French hotel booking as well and have to re-book for Monday night.  Maybe it's my own fault for booking super low rates that are non-refundable, but what a pain.  I had worked with some intensity today to finish a redraft of a report so that I could relax on our getaway.  I could have saved myself the bother, now I have an extra 24 hours to cool my heels.  We went for a walk this afternoon in Carrickfergus.  The old Norman castle was glowing in the low afternoon light.
