so much potential....

Another storm carried on most of the day.....so i dedicated a big part of it to doing a painting.

This is at the very start.  i used a different under painting technique for the first time.   putting down a bit of hard pastel and rubbing it in.  i love the ethereal feeling i have here.   Should have just stopped there!   Not really...it got to a decent place...but then i got a bit tangled up....took some shots but because it is now late in the day and i'm taking photos under a different lighting condition, decided to leave it till tomorrow.  

But i loved this place in the painting - it's the beginning and there is always such anticipation and potential.   of course the potential is always there to totally screw it up.....i might be able to salvage it tomorrow.
