On the Row

A day at home working on my article, followed by an evening at a reception in the "official residence" on Heriot Row. I took a couple of pictures there, but they were all rubbish. As we came out, someone pointed out the moon shining through the trees, and after I'd manoeuvred myself to be somewhere where there was no glare from street lights I managed to rest the camera on top of a (very cold) car and get this shot.

Reasonably happy.

Less happy about the fact that people still seem to think they know better what I want than I do.
