Relaxing
After dropping off the Little Misses at school - along with car seats and swimming stuff - I hot footed over to my mum's and picked her up for our spa day in the Cotswolds.
She booked it as a Christmas present for us and surprised me with it the other day.
What a treat!
The spa is in the converted coach house of the beautiful Cotswold House Hotel in Chipping Camden. It's small and low key and gorgeous!
We lounged around for a bit reading magazines and books, had a swim, sat in the steam room and then had our treatments - a facial for me and a manicure for mum.
Then we lounged a bit more before heading down to the hotel for lunch - scrummy steak ciabatta for me and brie and cranberry for mum, and then stumbled around in the rain for a bit hunting for chocolate.
Chocolate bought we headed back to the spa for more lounging, swimming, reading, chatting, steaming, snoozing and generally relaxing. Bliss!!
Before we knew it it was 6.30pm and time to leave. Time goes so fast when you're doing nothing!
Papa very kindly collected Miss L from school and took her swimming and then went back to collect Miss E from after school hockey and it all went without a hitch apparently!
I think they'd like Papa to collect them every week as he's much nicer than Mummy and bought them a packet of Rolos. Each!
After such a relaxing day I was in bed by 9.30pm. It's exhausting all this doing nothing!!
