Eternal Peace

Although Riccarton House  was demolished in 1956, the private burial ground of the Gibson-Craig family remains, behind walls and railings, within the campus of the Heriot Watt University. Situated at the Western end of the campus and surrounded by trees it is a peaceful place for eternal rest but for the major construction work taking place at present in the adjacent field!

We took a stroll, listening to three woodpeckers drumming, after a wonderful lunchtime recital by Professor of Jazz, Richard Michael, who had us clapping on the off-beat and tapping our feet as he demonstrated Swing style jazz.
