Brief reprieve

Opted for the home office today ... been a difficult week. Was deeply shaken a couple days ago by a shooting at the school my kids used to attend in the US, where 2 of my kids would still be, had we not moved abroad. Senseless, horrible gun violence. I'm grateful that's not such a threat here.

Next week will be on the road quite a bit, so it was nice to leave the car keys hanging on the wall today and tuck into work wearing my slippers and basking in the sun shining through the picture window.
