best wishes, 1936 style

Wedding telegram for my Grandma and Granda, 27th November 1936.

79 years later, this wee whisper of a long gone joyous day, has outlived the wonderful bride, groom and the telegram writers.

"May your joys be as deep as the sna in the glen, and your troubles as few as the teeth o a hen"

Uploaded as part of the Blip #thebigmoment valentines challenge. I wish I had spent much more time asking about their younger years. Those courtship photos are a riot. And what do I know now that I didn't know then? That I'm a much better person for having had them in my life, even if it was just for four brief years for Granda, but a fantastic 21 years for Grandma.
