Light in the dark
How can anyone throw you a lifeline if they can't see you are drowning?
We are so good in this culture at walking around claiming we are doing GREAT, when we really aren't. Many people would love to offer a helping hand, say a kind word to cheer another up, or just smile and nod. "I see you"...
Perhaps we should just assume everyone around us is drowning, in one way or another, and spread kindness as an all-around policy?
