Riwaka River Rush
At the mouth of the Riwaka River this morning and with the tide only just starting to come in we were able to walk further across. Every other time there was too much tide. Only a couple of birds, a heron and a pied stilt but these rushes and grasses gave plenty of colour. A small pool of water with a dragon looking log provided some focus.
A peculiar light today. My theory is that the smoke from the Marlborough forest fire has drifted over the hill and the bay and created a yellowy haze in front of the sun.
