Cormorant At Bethany Lake
We had a bit of a clearing late this afternoon, so I headed to Bethany Lake for a long walk. I was amazed to see quite a bit of flooding in Rock Creek, which made the little foot bridge impassable. The stream had turned into a lake. Up on one of the crossarms of the power towers was a cormorant trying to dry his wings. The sun was out here and there and he looked as though he was enjoying the warmth.
I also saw a red-tailed hawk soar over the lake...possibly the one I saw the other day in a nearby field.
Check out my other photos on flickr.
