Scottish Cup Final

Until moving to Edinburgh I hadn't really followed much of the goings on in sport apart from the times where my dad had control of the remote control and sports was the choice of the day (Wimbledon isn't too much of a hardship as I really enjoy it!).

First of all I've gotten into watching the rugby, mainly in the pub with a pint or two, but I really enjoy the atmosphere. Secondly, since I've started going out with K. who supports Hearts, I've found more and more of my weekends are being taken up with watching the footie (does Soccer AM really count tho?).

I come from quite a small town and even when I lived in Dundee, I hardly noticed a derby day. Edinburgh is quite a different experience, and there was no escaping the Scottish Cup Final of Hibs vrs Hearts - tv, radio, chatter on the streets and buses...

I watched the match with no complaints (and the highlights later on) and have discovered that its not so much of a hardship to watch it and totally worth it to see the happy grin on K's face. The things you do for love.
