Saturday walk
Another long walk from home again today. This time - through Lees, Oldham on up to Lydgate, to Mossley and up and over Hartshead Pike. Around 9 miles. I was surprised how much snow was still about on the fields and even on the pavement in places.
This time we stopped off in Mossley at Sweet Vintage tea shop for a lovely cuppa and a slice of home made lemon cake. It was prettily decorated inside, and all the tea cups and plates were vintage and mismatched. They also gave me an Apostle teaspoon - which brought back memories of a similar spoon we had at home when I was a child.
The only thing that spoilt the look was the aprons the waitresses were wearing. They could have been beautifully vintage-looking, but were cheap and plain looking. But then I would notice that, wouldn't I? ;-)
