Square peg round hole

Possibly one of the most difficult things ever. Getting a mattress downstairs then getting a new, even less bendy mattress back up.
Stuck on door frames, jammed on staircase. Nothing to grab, knuckle skin gone, dead weight. No give and nothing solid to push into. It was a complete battle. Me vs pocket springs. It's a serious reminder of why we don't do it very often, as well as the price.
