Why the long face?

I think the driver had nipped off for a vin chaud leaving his hard working horse waiting outside in the snow. It was only -4 degrees C, but he didn't seem to mind. He didn't seem to mind having pictures taken either and posed quite happily for me. Much more accommodating that those dam people in the background, they just wouldn't go away.

It was lovely to walk through the snow around the end of the valley with my wife, a very good day despite the lack of skiing (back on it tomorrow for sure).
