Utrecht

This (definitely a mono day today) illustrates one of Utrecht's special features - its split level canals.  There is a lower level, about 3 or 4 metres below the street, where warehouses were located in the 13th century.

After lunch I explored this very pleasant City, which it seems will be hosting the Tour de France next year. I enjoyed the colourful cloth market, where I resisted the temptation to buy certain items.
