Pieris

Also known as 'Flame of the Forest' or 'Lily of the Valley', although it's actually a member of the heather family, ericaceae.
I'm a bit concerned as it's getting badly munched and is not looking too perky. It's in a bed which is sheltered but overcrowded so there may have to be remedial action in the spring.
It's quite a ubiquitous plant and the flowers are insignificant but the flaming red foliage in the spring is quite spectacular.
