The Great Meredith Rotary Ice Fishing Derby

Literally, thousands of fishermen have arrived on Lake Winnipesaukee and all the lakes in NH, to compete for the many prizes in the derby.  This year, I think there are more than ever! 
Every lake that I went by today was filled with bob houses, snowmobiles, cars, trucks, and fishermen!  It's quite a sight to see.  
In this photo, in Meredith Bay,  there are also many commercial bob houses, selling food, drinks, and even real estate!
If you catch a fish that qualifies in length and weight , it has to be brought to this spot by 4pm, where the headquarters are, to be checked in to see if it is a winner.  The biggest fish in all the categories are mounted on a board.
On Sunday, the winners are announced.
So far, my husband got nothing!  He came off the lake early because he said his feet were cold!
