Joyce, Arvin and Ann

From my journal: September 24, 2006

It was gray and drizzly all day. In the evening a huge storm came through and blew out the power. It's still out. We went with Joyce and Ann to the Carrierre du Roi, the old Caunes marble quarry. Ann and I took a long walk. We all stopped at the house and saw Stephanie and Myrna. They suggested we go to the marble sculptor's studio in Caunes Minervois. We did and bought a wonderful half face sculpture made from the local marble. Several others bought sculptures as well. We then took a drive up the mountains near Caunes and did some sight seeing before heading home for dinner and scrabble.
