Cheshire Plain

This is the view over the Cheshire Plain from The Roaches. I love this part of The Peak District, for many reasons.

It's about a 40 minute drive from my house.

It's where I first climbed.

The views are fantastic.

The walk along this ridge is superb.

And when it snows.....

On Tuesday I was looking up at these rocks, and I was determined to get up here before the snow disappeared. I was like a kid in a sweet shop today, it was brilliant!

What was even funnier was my other half had taken the day off and was walking only a few miles across the A53 on Chrome Hill. I didn't go with him as I wasn''t up for a day's walk. We both had great fun.
