In the spotlight

I popped in the National Building Museum today to see an indoor demo of drones. It was boring and annoying at the same time, with the incessant buzzing of the devices - like being surrounded by a swarm of bees; a more intrusive version of yesteryears toy planes for adults, bound to create havoc on the ground and in the air. 
On the positive side, there was an amazing exhibit ("Hot to Cold") with over 60 three-dimensional models exploring how design is shaped by cultural and climatic contexts. Some very innovative designs -- a couple of which are actually under construction already.
