Parallel clouds

We have had such lovely weather for Waitangi weekend, and a beautiful sky as the sun went down at the end of the day.  These layers of cloud are catching the light behind Castle Rock, as seen from our deck, which many of you will have viewed previously.

We spent today in the garden, as after the spell of rain we had a little while ago the weeds have grown madly.  We've just about caught up with them now.  We never aim to be weed-free, or anywhere near it.  We try to suppress them enough that the plants we want to grow have a chance, and to prevent seeding as much as we can.
