Art For Art's Sake
The wind has turned to lash us relentlessly from the east. The sea is now high and waves are crashing against the rocky shoreline in a show of strength and ill-temper.
For some ludicrous reason, I braved all this to stand in the teeth of the gale on top of some rocks, struggling to remain upright, in order to take a few pictures.
The gull, on the other hand, just hung gracefully motionless in the slipstream while I fired off the camera.
Below me the maelstrom gurgled and roared and I was very pleased to get down from the rocks and back to my car.
All for the sake of a photograph!
