First Bee Of The Year

Once Spring gets started, there's no stopping it. It felt like that today - sunny most of the day and even a little warmth to the rays.

Around the corner is a winter flowering Mahonia japonica growing in the old vicarage garden. I couldn't believe it - there were bees around it! Not a great pic technically as I needed to zoom in from the other side of a wall - but a marker that winter's grip is loosening - hooray!
