Neutral density filter

I got myself a set of three neutral density (ND) filters for my wide angle lens. The filter used here is an ND3.0, which results in a lengthening of the exposure time by the factor 1,000.

I strongly prefer this shot over the tone mapped one of approximately the same scene.

The lens flare did not come out as inteded, but I'm not sure, if that lens is the right kind of equipment for that kind of thing.
