Crichton castle is closed

Had a nice stroll in the sinking sun of the day with littlemissquirk and our children who protested as they always do and then have a ball literally with just a tennis ball , these 15th century ruins have a mystical quality I find if only they could talk about their life I bet they could tell some tales. I just hope we impart just a little of the magic that you only see as an adult and they remember it for our grandchildrens benefit.....,,the ball incidentally is now perched for posterity on a castle window sill!!
