Helena at Coaley Peak
We've both enjoyed our lazy Sunday but still wanted to get a breath of air. Helena suggested a short drive to Coaley Peak, a famous local beauty spot high up on the Cotswold escarpment overlooking the Severn Vale and out towards the Bristol Channel.
The sun was shining warmly, there was no wind and the sky was blue. A few gliders were being launched from the local glider airfield being pulled into the air by a small single engined plane. Walkers milled about with children and dogs close to the car park. We walked a short way to this stone topograph, which always attracts people wanting to check where they are and what they can see.
We decided to ask a man if he would take a picture of us using my camera which Helena will use as part of the recent Blip challenge - 'The Big Moment'. I took this picture to line up the camera and rather liked it.
You can see Helena's blip here, where she tells a story of how we met.
