Red shanks
Actually there was only one redshank, occasionally sliding on the ice in a comical manner, but he had a smart pair of red shanks....we had just left the rail viewing area which was rather crowded with twitchers. We walked home from Stockbridge along the Water of Leith but didn't see much else that was blippable, apart from the ever photogenic goosanders.
Mr H had to spend a long time fossicking in the really useful cupboard ahead of his digging duties. Seems he left one of his favourite tools on Lewis. Oh dear.
