Sam Salutes

We spent the day at the Nauticus museum in Norfolk , VA and toured the battleship,  USS Wisconsin.  It was cold and Sam and I were sitting outside the museum waiting for his mom to get the car and go to lunch.  At this point, he was fed up with all the picture taking but I was able to cajole him into one more with the ship in the background.  Out of the blue, he saluted!  We were to get together Sunday visiting and saying good-by before we returned to Minnesota without him.  Plans changed and we were not able to see him at all Sunday.  

Five wonderful, amazing, joy filled months together. This is our good-bye picture.  It couldn't be more perfect.
