Freshly ground
Yesterday, my son asked for something Mexican for dinner, and for a change rather than buy a kit to make it I thought that I would do it all from fresh ingredients.
The recipe called for Ground Cumin, I had Cumin Seeds, that was all that was in the store when I did my shopping, so out with the mortar and pestle to grind some seeds. Can't get more freshly ground than that, and a lovely smell to go with it too!
And the end result?
I was hoping to have enough left over to go with jacket potatoes during the week, but there wasn't, so it must have been good (confirmed by son who said it was).
