Long Ago

I needed to find a photo of myself as a child, I gave up looking for an older one when I found this one.
Fifteen years old and starting my sixth year away from home I was at the Indefatigable in LlanfairpwlLlanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, one year away from joining the Royal Navy.
Seems such a long time ago, five years short of fifty, I never lived 'at home' again until I married and then it was my own home.
I wore uniform for the next thirty-five years and never regretted a day of it.
