LONDON

Had a great day yesterday. Got up very very early to get the stuffy train to London but had lot to keep me occupied. Our first destination was Speedy's café to have elevenses and get a photo. However we found that they were filming.. SHERLOCK! we all got very very excited including mum. Although we didn't see anyone famous, we saw horses, carriages and people dressed in Victorian costume walking up and down the road, I do hope that bit makes it into the film. After a long while we took the underground to the London eye and after lots of queuing finally got on. This involved me taking lots and lots of photos and mum trying to point out important locations including Buckingham palace which I couldn't see anywhere... so she gave up in the end. After that we went to EAT café which we had never tried before. The food was delicious and I had a chicken soup pie complete with pastry mmm. The town hall tour accompanied by the beefeater was brilliant and he was very amusing, I enjoyed photographing the decaying walls. What wasn't so good however, was because I hung back to take photographs I got stuck behind a huge group of Japanese tourists and mum and charlotte chortled from above. The crown jewels were captivating and I got a "crown jewel pen" souvenir.. well I had to get something. We went back to Speedy's being such devoted Sherlock fans but they were STILL filming grrr. We came back on the train and who should we meet but the lovely Belinda :-). Had chippy for tea.. a good day out .
