Big crane
A packed day today, but ultimately successful. Now ensconced in a hotel room in Newcastle under Lyme ready for tomorrow's user testing. A long, but fortunately trouble free journey from Maidstone although the roads were extremely busy for a Sunday I thought.
Enjoyed a late morning brunch; a bucket of porridge, then a fry up, finished off with a big juicy orange.
We then had time to stroll into town, having not made it yesterday, only to find Pop's Cafe was closed so we had to make do with a coffee in Marks and Spencer's. It was while in town that we saw this monster crane lifting telecoms equipment from the top of this office block. It is difficult to appreciate the scale of this beast - but it had an extension on top of the main hydraulic arm.
A swift walk home saw us get back just before the early arrival of one of the people who was travelling with me to Newcastle under Lyme. His unexpected arrival was partly responsible for me forgetting my sponge bag and book and consequently having to go out and buy toiletries and a paper from Tesco.
