Loch Eck, morning

On a perfect day, this was the view from the vantage point where we stopped for some coffee. The slight breeze had blown away the earlier mists, and the sun was warm. There is something magical about being out in the morning like this - a combination of the light, the freedom to do this when the world is working, the prospect of the rest of the day still to come.

Notice how the loch appears dark despite the light sky - the steep sides make it unusal to see it any other way.
