The Harlequin Duck

He's still around; he's found a rather more secluded part of the river Don. I was lucky to get pretty close today, and there were only 4 other birders there at the time.  He nearly got scared away by a family of kids who arrived hoping to be able to throw stones in the river.  One of the birders explained to the parents that this was the rarest bird in the whole of the UK at the present time.
