MonoMonday..........
...................China/china
By selecting these items and icon, my MonoMonday features China, the country.
- The official name of the this country is the People's Republic of China
- The Panda is a bear native to south central China. It is considered a national treasure in China.
- The cloth covered container held Oolong tea. This is a traditional Chinese tea. The name oolong came into the English language from the Chinese name meaning "black dragon".
- The Chinese characters are on a tin from China that held Moon cakes. These cakes are traditionally eaten during the festival called ‘Mid-Autumn Festival’. Typical Moon cakes are round pastries about 10cm in diameter and 3-4cm think (and they taste delicious!)
