Lickety split!
I travelled to work by public transport for the first time today:
10 minute walk,
55 minute metro,
10 minute wait for bus,
15 minute bus,
15 minute walk- quite a prolonged journey! The bus was called "The drifter" so I wasn't surprised that it was late.
Thankfully whilst I was at work my husband got our car fixed and collected me from work. Its lovely how the evenings are getting a bit lighter already. I work a few minutes from Seaham so we went there for a walk around the town and down to the pier. We found an awesome 50s style ice-cream parlour/diner and I had this rather unhealthy but absolutely delicious banana split for tea! What a great find! The lady working there says that its so popular that people queue for over an hour to get inside in the summer.
After our Sundays we wandered around and saw men fishing off the pier in the dark, which seemed strange. Also noticed how fantastic the night sky looks away from the bigger cities, perfect view of the stars.
I could have blipped a scenic photo of the beach, the lighthouse or the local artwork that I took photos of but went for the banana split in the end as I need to remind myself to go back there again :)
